Clients
come to us seeking not works of art, but real solutions to specific
problems. We respond with services that transcend mundane
realities into the realm of art.
Certainly, our designs are functional
and efficient, accommodating the activities for which their spaces
are intended. But we believe the designs we create can and should
do more.
Much as a block of marble contains a
sculptor's creation, our clients' practical needs contain the gem of our
architectural designs. The realities of each project—site
dimensions and topography, engineering and construction requirements,
time and budget constraints—serve as a welcome discipline within which
to practice our craft. |

As experienced architects, we apply the
best materials and methods of our profession with discernment and skill.
As artists, we use shadow, light, color, shape and texture to shape and
enrich the inhabitants' experience of the structures we create.
By meeting reality with art,
we routinely surpass clients' expectations. Clients ask for exam rooms,
apartments and classrooms, and we give them spaces
where healing, living and learning can most readily take place. They ask
us to renovate an abandoned building, and we restore the structure's
dignity, grandeur and authenticity along with its function.
Since our founding in 1983,
our understanding of the role of art in architecture has served us well.
We believe our success is squarely based on our philosophy of architecture
as the place where
art meets reality.
